A public entity, was facing unsustainable healthcare costs and limited transparency from existing vendors. Leadership wanted a cost-effective solution that would still meet employee needs and quality of care.
Issue 1: Escalating Carrier Costs Healthcare carrier costs were continously increasing, putting pressure on the county’s budget.
Issue 2: Lack of Vendor Transparency The county lacked visibility into accurate plan performance, making it difficult to manage costs or hold vendors accountable.
Issue 3: Lack of Market Awareness: The county had not changed vendors in over 20 years and lacked up-to-date knowledge of current insurance policies, competitive plan designs, and cost-containment strategies.
